Dying Light 2 krijgt nieuwe update

Ontwikkelaar Techland blijft Dying Light 2 ondersteunen met updates, zelfs jaren na de release. Dat is geen verrassing overigens, want het eerste deel kreeg ook voor een lange tijd nog verdere updates. Versie 1.062 van de game is nu verkrijgbaar en deze voert een hoop veranderingen door.

Deze update voegt geen nieuwe content toe, maar we zien wel heel wat bug fixes en gameplay aanpassingen. Alle specifieke details kan je nalezen in onderstaande patch notes.

  • Co-op:
    • Fixed electric and fire VFX visible from the third-person perspective.
    • Improved VFX of evolving items when seen from the third-person perspective.
  • Tower Raid:
    • Closed gaps in selected areas.
    • Fixed soft locks on selected floors.
    • Fixed random flickering on selected floors.
    • Cosmetic changes to selected floors (cleaned up assets that shouldn’t be visible or overlapping).
    • Fixed an issue with co-op players disappearing when in an elevator.
    • Fixed soft locks related to co-op joins.
    • Fixed accessing a drawer through the wall.
    • Updated animation for pressing floor buttons while in the elevator.
  • Gameplay:
    • Implemented changes for the prologue to improve its flow.
    • Adjusted first GRE encounter difficulty.
    • Rebalanced the prologue to make players feel stronger (with extra skills and weapons).
    • Fixed the missing quest marker for the ‘Crystal White’ mission.
    • Fixed issues with the Crowd Runner skill while using the firearms layout (players must holster equipped firearms to trigger it while moving forward).
    • Made police cars lootable.
    • Allowed encounters between survivors and zombies to be interrupted with a kick.
    • After throwing a weapon, the next equipped one will be drawn—even if it is not in the first slot.
  • Technical:
    • Fixed audio issues related to sound disappearing.
    • Fixed biomarker placement on the Krampus Outfit.
    • Removed Tower Raid pop-up after canceling any Survivor Mission.
    • Fixed bow and arrow alignment.
    • Fixed hand placement on ladders when looking around.
    • Fixed animations after using Afterboost so that it now works properly.
    • Fixed occasional misalignment of the Scorpio weapon.
    • Prevented the Funkadelic bow from being dropped (and lost).
    • Fixed elemental VFX on the Kama.
    • Fixed rain falling inside military containers.
    • Fixed animation and audio after killing a Suicider with a headshot.
    • Adjusted VFX for evolving items.
    • Adjusted lighting of Gas Tank Biters in Resolution mode.
    • Fixed a handful of random crashes.
  • UI:
    • Improved blueprint descriptions.
    • Fixed Balanced and Resolution video settings to display with the proper names.
    • Removed visible Open World objectives when entering the metro.

    Ik vind deze game geweldig. Ik speel hem dan ook nog regelmatig.
