Deze week is het zover, dan kunnen we eindelijk terugkeren naar Pandora, om met onze favoriete Vault Hunters de strijd opnieuw aan te gaan met Handsome Jack. Eind deze week verschijnt namelijk Borderlands: The Handsome Collection voor de PS4, die Borderlands 2 en Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel naar onze favoriete console brengt. Beide games waren al verkrijgbaar voor de PS3, maar krijgen nu een opgepoetste versie op de PlayStation 4.
Het eerste deel ontbreek echter in deze collectie, maar er bestaat een kans dat die game alsnog naar de huidige generatie consoles gaat komen. Als Borderlands: The Handsome Collection over de toonbank zal vliegen, dan zal 2K wellicht ook bereid zijn om de eerste Borderlands naar de PS4 te brengen. Dat is althans wat de CEO van Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford, uitsprak:
“The fact that The Handsome Collection has Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2 means there’s still that original game that isn’t on next-gen yet. If this is successful, I’m sure the folks at 2K, the people that care about publishing and figure out how to get content in customers’ hands if customers want it, will be noticing that. And I’d love to have those conversations about how to bring Borderlands 1 to next-gen.”
“If The Handsome Collection is successful enough, there might be a way to justify that. And I really hope that’s the case. I’d love to have my entire Borderlands collection on next-gen!”
We wachten het rustig af, het is in ieder geval niet de eerste, maar zeker ook niet de laatste game die opgepoetst naar de PS4 zal komen. Jullie kunnen vandaag overigens nog onze review van de collectie verwachten.

Krijg je hem er dan wel gratis bij?
De mensen die deze collection kopen doen het denk ik omdat ze hem op de PS3 gemsit hebben. Lijkt me niet dat je hem in omgekeerde volgorde gaat spelen, als staat het verhaal van BL1 me niet echt bij.
