We Were Here games komen naar de Nintendo Switch

Total Mayhem Games is een Nederlandse studio die een redelijke hit heeft gescoord met zijn We Were Here-games. Deze coöp first-person avonturen spellen weten het goed te doen bij critici en spelers. De games waren al behoorlijk wijd verkrijgbaar, maar tot op heden bestaan er nog geen versies voor Nintendo consoles. Daar gaat verandering in komen.

De eerste drie delen uit de serie komen naar de Nintendo Switch. Het gaat dus om We Were Here, We Were Here Too en We Were Here Together. De onderstaande aankondigingstrailer laat helaas erg weinig gameplay zien dus blijft het vooralsnog de vraag hoe de games gaan presteren op de Nintendo Switch.

De We Were Here-serie zal later dit jaar naar het platform van Nintendo komen, maar een exacte datum is nog niet bekend.

The We Were Here Series is coming to Nintendo Switch™!

Escape Castle Rock wherever you are in the award-winning co-op puzzle series

ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS — 10 July, 2025 — Total Mayhem Games, the indie developer behind the award-winning asymmetric co-op puzzle series We Were Here, is excited to announce that the franchise’s first three games (We Were Here, We Were Here Too and We Were Here Together) are coming to Nintendo Switch™ later this year!

It’s almost time for Explorers on Nintendo Switch™ to put on a thick coat and grab their walkie-talkies because the first three games of the We Were Here franchise are coming to Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop! Adventurous duos will be able to uncover the truth behind the curse of Castle Rock and escape its haunted realm wherever they are with the handheld console (or simply in the dock at home).

We Were Here, We Were Here Too and We Were Here Together will be backwards compatible with Nintendo Switch™ 2. This means Explorers will be able to dive into these asymmetric puzzle games together, whether they’re playing on Nintendo Switch™ or Nintendo Switch™ 2. Cross-platform support is also in development for the first three games in the We Were Here Series.

In the We Were Here Series, players take on the role of Antarctic Explorers who get caught up in a mystery revolving around the realm of Castle Rock. Players are separated from each other most of the time, and will have to work together and communicate clearly in order to solve the asymmetric puzzles that give each Explorer different information. Two devices, two players, one Nintendo Switch™. A Nintendo Switch Online Membership and a headset with microphone (or a different way to communicate with your partner) will be required to play the We Were Here Series on Nintendo Switch™.
