Details van vijfde Modern Warfare 3 en Warzone seizoen bekendgemaakt

Op 24 juli zal het vijfde seizoen van Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 en Warzone 2.0 van start gaan. Met nog een weekje te gaan, heeft Activision nu bekendgemaakt wat we van dit seizoen mogen verwachten en zoals gewoonlijk is dat behoorlijk wat.

De content komt in drie fases: direct bij de start, vlak na de start en net voorbij de helft van het seizoen, dit middels de Reloaded update. Hieronder op een rijtje de belangrijkste details.

Multiplayer

• Nieuwe maps: Bait en Yard.
• Map varianten: Speel Rust (Toonoxide) en Shipment (Celship) in een cel-shaded variant. Mid-season komt Stash House (Ink House) erbij.
• Nieuwe modi: COD Warrior en Slam Deathmatch*, Arcade playlist*, Fishfection**, Paintball** en Defuse or Destroy**.
• Nieuw attribuut: EMP granaat.

• Bait – Catch some rays in the Sunshine State on the mid-sized Bait. Battle amongst tiki huts and take a swim in the pool or remain dockside watching for enemy movement near interior spaces like the Restaurant, Boat House, and Bait Shop. The map’s twisting layout provides endless tactical opportunities for every playstyle. Reach the Loading Docks via the Boat House crawl space and ambush enemies from the alcoves along the Jetty. Be the angler and not the prey, making use of every advantage.
• Yard – Crush your enemies in a dusty junkyard out in the Sonoran Desert. The small cel-shaded map twists around the base of the central Crane, surrounded by dirt pathways, containers, and discarded components. The eastern Garage offers a tight flanking path down the map, but most of the fighting takes place in the open. Try your luck in the base of the Crane, where its rounded interior curves around a dividing wall adjacent to a small work room. Prepare to encounter Shotguns and explosives; an Operator who survives the inner gauntlet will be rewarded with its critical position as the map’s dead center.

Zombies

Het is een beperkte update voor deze modus, zo mogen we zodra het seizoen net even onderweg is een drietal toevoegingen verwachten. Dit zijn de laatste missie van het verhaal samen met een nieuwe Aether Rift en nieuwe schema’s.

Operation Deadbolt must face the ultimate challenge in confronting the Entity in a terrifying new section of the Dark Aether. Use Aetherium launch pads to soar through the environment and keep away from the dangerous hordes of undead lurking on the ground. Prepare to abandon all hope as you make your way towards the climatic conclusion and the final boss.

Survive the narrative driven final Story Mission to unlock the conclusion cinematic and secure the first piece needed to access the new Dark Aether Rift.

Warzone

In Warzone mogen we ook weer de nodige vernieuwingen verwachten en de grootste is toch wel de terugkeer van een bekend complex.

• Urzikstan: De Atlas Superstore die we van Verdansk kennen zal ten zuiden van de Orlov basis gevonden kunnen worden.
• Nieuwe modi: Bounty Contest, Redeploy Drone, Elite Contracts**, Recon Flyover** en Supreme Resurgence**.
• Resurgence Superstore: Resurgence wat zich in de Atlas Superstore afspeelt.
