Arma Reforger is nu ook beschikbaar op de PlayStation 5

De Arma-franchise is er eentje die al jarenlang meedraait. Het origineel verscheen in 2006 en Arma 3 uit 2013 was voor een lange tijd de meest recente game uit de franchise. Na een sprong van maar liefst 10 jaar verscheen Arma Reforger, die voor het eerst ook op consoles uitkwam. Deze titel verscheen echter eerst op de Xbox Series X|S en pc, maar de PlayStation-versie was nergens te vinden.

Ontwikkelaar Bohemia Interactive heeft aangekondigd dat daar een einde aan komt en ook PlayStation-spelers aan de slag kunnen met de tactische shooter. Arma Reforger speelt zich af tijdens de Koude Oorlog in de jaren ’80, waar spelers aan de kant van de Verenigde Staten of de Sovjet-Unie vechten. De game is gesitueerd op het fictieve eiland Everon, dat een oppervlakte heeft van 52 vierkante kilometer. Arma Reforger wordt ook gezien als een soort test voor Arma 4 vanwege de nieuwe Enfusion engine die gebruikt wordt.

• Combat Ops – Experience co-operative gameplay and dynamic objectives with Combat Ops; a new game mode focusing on small-team tactics. In Combat Ops Arland, infiltrate the island as an elite US unit: strike hard, strike fast, and reach the extraction point. In Combat Ops Everon, join the FIA resistance faction and engage in guerrilla operations to take back your home island.
• Capture and Hold – Battle it out against an enemy faction to hold key points in fast-paced, tactical gameplay. Capture and Hold is a rapid-fire, high-pressure game mode that concentrates the immersive and realistic gameplay of Arma Reforger into short and intense matches.
