Nintendo stopt begin 2026 met de verkoop van Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers

Nintendo heeft aangekondigd dat ze gaan stoppen met de Game Vouchers. Het is sinds 2019 voor Nintendo Switch Online abonnees mogelijk om Game Vouchers te kopen. Deze vouchers gaan per twee en kosten € 99,-. Met deze vouchers is het vervolgens mogelijk om twee games te kopen, die per stuk normaal € 59,99 kosten.

Met andere woorden: op die manier bespaar je zo’n € 20,- op de aanschaf van twee titels. Een meer dan prima initiatief voor abonnees, maar daar gaat Nintendo dus mee stoppen. Via X laat het bedrijf weten dat er na 30 januari 2026 niet langer vouchers aangeschaft kunnen worden.

Iedereen die voor die tijd vouchers koopt, zal ze nog kunnen gebruiken. Goed om te weten, de vouchers zijn een jaar geldig na aanschaf. Dus als je op 30 januari 2026 vouchers aanschaft, kan je die dus ondanks het stopzetten van de dienst nog tot 30 januari 2027 gebruiken.
