De Ys- en Trails-franchises komen binnenkort samen in de vechtgame Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga. De game is inmiddels al ongeveer 15 jaar uit in Japan, maar recent werd aangekondigd dat ook wij in het Westen van deze titel zullen mogen genieten. Minder leuk nieuws: de game krijgt met wat uitstel te maken.
Ontwikkelaar Falcom heeft namelijk laten weten dat Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga met enkele maanden zal worden uitgesteld door onvoorziene omstandigheden. Normaal gezien zou de game ergens deze zomer moeten uitkomen, maar dit zal dus niet meer worden gehaald. Er wordt niet specifiek vermeld voor hoeveel maanden de game zal worden uitgesteld, afwachten is dus de boodschap.

It has been a while since our last update on Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga, and we want to thank everyone for their patience during this time. Development has been steadily progressing but an unforeseen circumstance outside our control arose, preventing us from continuing work and forced us to reassess our release schedule and make the necessary adjustments.
While our original target was a summer release, after careful consideration, we have decided to delay the game by a few months. This will give us the time needed to ensure that every aspect of the game, from the gameplay to the presentation, meets the quality we strive for and that fans deserve.
We understand it is disappointing to wait longer than expected, but we are confident this decision will lead to a stronger, more polished experience at launch. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing more details, new screenshots, additional information!
