Rebellion Developments bracht eerder dit jaar Atomfall uit en de game is voor de ontwikkelaar een groot succes. Miljoenen mensen hebben de game gespeeld, al dan niet via Game Pass en het avontuur is zeker nog niet klaar. De ontwikkelaar heeft namelijk de eerste uitbreiding aangekondigd.
Deze uitbreiding, Wicked Isle genaamd, zal op 3 juni verschijnen en rond de 20 euro kosten. Wicked Isle voegt een nieuwe locatie aan de game toe, samen met nieuwe personages, vijanden, wapens, skills, items en bijgevolg ook additionele eindes voor de hoofdgame.

Drawing on the folk horror elements of the game for inspiration, the story expansion is set on Midsummer Island. To cross to the island players must talk to the boat-keeper who can be found on the jetty in Wyndham Village. He will give you information about the island as well as your first Lead.
Ben Fisher, head of design: “Midsummer is located close to the Windscale Atom Plant and as a result the levels of infection in both the people and environment are higher than on the mainland. You are going to meet new enemy factions including pirate bandits and infected druids. To help you survive there are new weapons to be found on the island including a devastating Blunderbuss shotgun, a new bow, cutlass, daggers and the Beekeeper’s Staff. You will also be able to acquire new skills which will aid you on your quest as well as an upgraded metal detector which will enable you find even more loot caches.”
Als je de Deluxe Edition van Atomfall in bezit hebt of het Deluxe Upgrade Pack koopt, zit de uitbreiding erbij inbegrepen. Game Pass abonnees krijgen bij release 10% korting op de uitbreiding.
Ik kan nog niet best in deze game komen. Vooral omdat er geen duidelijk doel is. Je loopt maar wat rond, wat eigenlijk nergens toe leidt.
